Community Involvement

ConXts Technology Solutions has used much of its time and resources to try and give back to the community. Being a small local business that has become successful over the years in northeastern Oklahoma, we feel a sense of gratitude and humbleness toward the community. It is important to us to give back as much as possible to the schools and local businesses, as without them, we would not have survived the tumultuous start of our business.

ConXts Technology Solutions is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and has many employees that are members of the Tulsa Young Professionals. We look forward to more involvement in the years to come with both organizations. Although we enjoy our involvement with the local organizations, it is our work with public school systems that we take most pride in.

School Involvement

Although most companies try and take a different approach to their marketing and advertising, ConXts participates in mostly school oriented activities as we have a heart for the youth of Oklahoma. We thought about it and decided for the same amount that we could put into advertising; we could simply give back to the students in local schools through donations and fundraisers. Our year primarily revolves around school functions and sports seasons as we enjoy helping out where we are needed.

At the beginning of the school year, we offer a program called the ConXts Extreme Classroom Makeover, in which schools send in an application and a letter to us for consideration. After sending in a unique Gilligan’s Island themed application video on how technology can improve their library, Checotah Public Schools is the latest winner. Checotah was one of two applicants chosen to receive a $15,000 technology makeover grant in their school library. This makeover includes Smart Board Technologies and the new ConXts 7 in 1 computer. The makeover was installed in April 2007.

As in years past, ConXts took an active role in the high school football season in 2006. We have donated laptops to area schools to be raffled off for school fundraisers related to new band uniforms and other school needs. We also make it out to the games cheer our teams on and throw mini footballs out to the crowd. We very much enjoy a high level of involvement with area schools.

As we take our involvement in school sports very seriously, our sponsorship goes beyond football season. Some of our other involvements include donations for sports related uniforms as well as sports equipment. Just this past season, an area high school softball team had their equipment stolen. ConXts donated all new equipment to the team to continue with their training. We are also proud sponsors of the Welch Little League team baseball team.

When prom and graduation season role around, we make sure and help where we can there as well. This year, we have donated several MP3 players and computers to be given out to senior students in various schools for good grades, special promotions and of course prom.

The more involvement in schools we have, the more excited we get. Our sales staff takes part in many golf tournaments to benefit scholarships for local students. We also donate to many other fundraising events such as auctions, raffles, and so much more.

Scholarships for College

The latest edition to the ConXts community involvement is the ConXts Scholarship Drive. This May we be giving away scholarships to four senior students to attend the college or trade school of their choice. Each student will be chosen on the basis of their grades, community and school involvement, as well as an essay they have written about how technology has helped them in life and school. The scholarships will be awarded to four students in Oklahoma by May 18, 2007.

ConXts takes great pride in working with the community all around us. It is both an honor and a privilege to serve the Oklahoma area and look forward to many years of community service in the future.
